You could also ask the person. "Are you telling me that Jesus said it's okay to be a dick?" I've had people tell me that Jesus would never use profanity. Who decides what is and what isn't profanity? And how do they know this?

How do any of us know what it is that Jesus actually said anyway? The printing press didn't show up in Europe until the Mid 1400's, prior to this EVERY SINGLE BIBLE WAS COPIED BY HAND, probably by some poor wine-drunk, celibate Monk in a cave somewhere dreaming about hot chicks with big...sandwiches or something. So which Bible is the official Jesus approved one? the King James Version (KJV)? the New King James Version (NKJV)? the Revised Standard Version (RSV)? the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)? the English Standard Version (ESV)? the New Living Translation (NLT)? the New International Version (NIV)? the Contemporary English Version (CEV)? the Revised English Bible (REB)? New Jerusalem Bible (NJB)? New American Bible (NAB)? the Living Bible (TLB)?

NOBODY KNOWS WHAT JESUS ACTUALLY SAID. But if you take time to read and study the Words in Red in the New Testament, those teachings which are largely attributed to the Christ, and condense them down to a bumper sticker or t-shirt, this is what you get.
